Já faz quase um ano que saiu esta documentação, mas não deixa de ser atual e muito importante para as definições de arquitetura das soluções.
Em março de 2011, a Microsoft em parceria com a Intel, realizou um teste de escabilidade com o CRM 2011. O teste baseia-se em 150 mil usuários simultâneos, uma base de dados de 720 GB (algo relativamente grande, quando falamos do Dynamics CRM), gerando mais de 700 mil transações por hora.
Os resultados mostram que o tempo de cada resposta ao servidor foi de 4 segundos, usando apenas 42% dos servidores de banco de dados e menos de 40% dos servidores de aplicação.
Outro fator importante seria os investimentos em infraestrutura, no teste usaram uma estrutura relativamente grande (afinal 150 mil usuário simultâneos onerariam um ambiente como este), porém com 1/4 ou 1/8 deste ambiente poderíamos ter 5 – 10 mil usuários!
